Yipa

Recording is more than recording.

Why I made this

After AI arrived, understanding what we write down will be an enormous gold mine. But it has a precondition: people first need to feel safe writing down their most honest selves.

That safety shouldn’t rest on “trust me, I won’t look,” but on “I can’t see it.” In Yipa, every record is end-to-end encrypted before it leaves your device; the server stores only ciphertext, and even I can’t read what you’ve written. That is the highest level of security a private journal can offer.

With that in place, if you’re willing, AI can then read your records and help you find what you might have missed.

Write it down first, without rushing to explain. Some things are hard to put into words and not meant for anyone else; only when you look back do you notice they keep coming back.

What it became

Start with something that just happened, or with how you feel right now. Notes line up along a timeline for looking back later: which thoughts keep returning, which changes are happening slowly.

AI analysis is for reference; it doesn’t decide who you are. Yipa is not a personality test and offers no diagnosis.
